The Gimbetts Gravels vineyard's unique location creates the warmest vineyard area in New Zealand. This, along with other climatic factors, means that Craggy Range produces some premium red wines. A profusion of dark plum, blackcurrant, liquorice, thyme and cinnamon burst on the bouquet of this wine. On the palate ripe fruit flavours are layered with soft, silky tannin and meld with sweet mocha notes derived from new oak barrels. A real stunner.
